Description: This annual report contains 1986 information compiled from a canvass of all pulpmills that use pulpwood produced in the 14 Northeastern states. In 1986 total production reached 8,952,400 cords. This was up by 2 percent since 1985. Roundwood production was 6,602,400 cords whereas pulpwood from residues was 2,350,000 cords. Each of these increased from the previous year, by 2 percent and 1 percent, respectively. The receipts of pulpwood at mills in the region were 9,385,300 cords.
